Quiz Feature in Google Forms, I Can Animate, Google Street View for SS, Tips for Educators, First Secret of Design, TesTeach, Flubaroo, Free Things, Shine On and Central Park's Lamp Posts

Did you know?

I Can Animate - this app for iOS is a great tool for stop motion animation and time lapse. With a clean design, it is easy and intuitive to use. There is a free/lite version and a paid version for $2.99. In the free/lite version you can’t adjust the speed of the stop motion video and you’re limited to how long it will film in the time lapse feature, but most other features are the same. It is a great tool for elementary grades. I especially like the onion skin element on the display, making it easy to see where objects were in the frames you’ve already captured. Can be exported to camera roll, Facebook, Dropbox and Youtube. Something to think about…
The First Secret of Design (and creativity) is … Noticing - A nice TED Talk by Tony Fadell, creator of the iPod and the Nest thermostat, sharing “his tips for noticing - and driving - change.” This would be great for students to see, as these tips can also be used in developing problem-solving and questioning skills. Look broader, look closer and think younger! https://www.ted.com/talks/tony_fadell_the_first_secret_of_design_is_noticing?language=en
