Smarty Pins, a fun and interactive trivia game that tests players’ trivia and geography knowledge. Players can choose from six different categories from arts and culture to sports to entertainment and answer questions by dragging the pin to the correct location on the map.  (great for Social Studies) https://smartypins.withgoogle.com/

What if...?
You used Google+ Hangouts to record video of you presenting your lesson?  Here’s a step-by-step guide from Matt Miller. (Great for those students at home sick or as a way to give your lesson while a sub is there.) http://ditchthattextbook.com/2015/01/15/how-to-quickly-and-easily-record-video-of-classes-online-step-by-step/

Something to think about...
Ways for parents to sign up for parent/teacher conferences:
  • Signup Genius - free online service, allows for more privacy, does require a login, but can also send an email reminder to parents.  http://www.signupgenius.com/
  • Google Sheets and Docs - you can see the revision history to ensure it is being used fairly, if asking for parent email address or phone numbers, be aware that others filling out the form will be able to see these as well.  In the Doc below, I inserted tables for a little more organization.  In Google Sheets, you can select and lock down individual cell ranges, if you don’t want users to edit those areas.  This link has a how-to: http://www.guidingtech.com/14070/restrict-editing-cells-spreadsheet-google-docs/
